Our Story

The Andersons family bought the General Motors Dealership on the 1st of June 1953, and then moved to it's current location in 1971. Colin, John and their father Harold, who managed the dealership, decided to move away from their diverse range of expertise and specialise solely in motor vehicles with General Motors.

The reputation of Anderson's Auto City was established by Harold and his sons John and Colin, and the family tradition continues today with Les Anderson and Brad Anderson.

John and Colin ran the business in partnership, just as Les and Brad do today. It is a case of history repeating itself and when a formula is successful, we don't change it! The two brothers worked together to build a reputation of service, reliability and trust with their focus being growing the business and embedding the Holden, Mazda and Mitsubishi vehicles in Gladstone.

The dealership in Biloela became a reality with a staff of nine servicing the needs of Holden, HSV, Mazda and Used Vehicle customers. Our Biloela location offers our clients spare parts, services, a wide range of new and used vehicles, and of course a warm country welcome when you visit. 1990's - John Anderson, the father of Les and Brad, had been in the industry for approximately forty years when he decided to hand over the reins to Les and Brad. Wouldn't you after forty years? John led the business through a great growth period in the Gladstone area. John's reign as Dealer Principal saw the retirement of his own brother Colin.

Les and Brad Anderson are working together with their team of over 60 staff members to "Create Customers for Life!" We have been a family owned business since 1953, when the reputation of "Creating Customers for Life!" was established by Harold and his sons John and Colin. Today, we specialise in Holden, HSV, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Quality Used Vehicles throughout the Central Queensland coast and hinterland, with two dealership locations - one in the coastal city of Gladstone and the other in the hinterland town of Biloela.

Who knows where we'll go from here!
